Many things go toward the unique atmosphere of Clifton House. A Victorian house, 1873, most decoratively revived, abounding with flowers paintings and colour. It has been said that dining at the Clifton is like being on the set of a James Ivory film. The restaurant is the cornerstone of the establishment and the ambitious elegant cuisine renowned: undoubtedly French in style, but using the best Scottish produce. The wine list is probably the longest in the North of Scotland
